This fall has been a full ass kicking whomper in terms of time consumption. I can’t really comprehend that it is somehow November when I know with all certainty that yesterday at noon it was still late August and my days consisted of a full 27 hours rather than the current 17.3 that simply aren’t at all helpful in terms of accomplishing anything. Part of it has been teaching at a new school with incredible individuals who inspire me with their daily grace, part of it has been that my children are getting older, spreading out and outnumbering me more than usual. The last part of it is that I am as lame and as underacheiving as ever and it really is all a bit much; I would like nothing more than to take a mental health week and do nothing other than stare at the piles of laundry and think of them slow moving friends rather than tasks that must be executed and then actually finished.
Following are a few pictures I found on my camera from Cass’ soccer season. Sure, Cassidy was out on the field playing and I fully intended to take pictures of her, but Devon was closer and the effort was far less. I think that statement is going to bump me out of the running for Soccer Mom of the Year. Crap.
