Getting back on the horse
One of the reasons I posted on a daily basis from November to July of this past year was because I am the kind of person who if not forced to do something I simply won’t. Yes, I am that unreliable, flaky, lazy. You name it, I am it. Another reason I haven’t been posting much is that my job started up again. What with the school year starting and all, preschool teachers are actually expected to show up and smile with serenity on a daily basis. It’s unfair and demanding if you ask me but it is a job that enables me to spend the summers with my children so I’m not complaining too loud. The last reason I haven’t been posting is that I’m really quite content with my life at the moment and am not quite sure what to do with that concept. For the last four years I have used this space as a vehicle for my considerable expanse of angst and without that gray nubby ball of panic I am not sure what to write. Somebody recently suggested I write about happy things, the mere thought stirred up some anxiety and enabled me to dig out my computer and start pecking away again.
So here it is, a happy post.
Life is good.
That’s not a topic I am on a familiar basis with and I am going to go spend some time with it and try to get jiggy with it. In the meantime here is one of my favorite pictures from the summer. It’s from the Scripps Aquarium in San Diego where Cassidy and I met up with one of my most favorite people in the world, Lovely Shannon. The three of us have decided we must meet up every summer in a place where the air is soft and the sweet hush of the ocean lulls us to sleep at night. Life is good.

I likes it! A happy Heather is a wonderful Heather. Keep lovin’ life and havin’ FUN!

Steph, you will meet him in a few weeks. Be sure to do a background check on him if he wants a library card, Texans are notorious for their lack of rule following with book institutions. I’m just saying.
Jen, thank! That was such a great trip for Cass and me.
How are you? I miss you!
