Yes, I am counting

These past couple of months have been so hectic that at times I have actually misplaced several days at a time. I have shown up for appointments I haven’t yet made and skipped others all together because I thought they weren’t to be for another week or so. It has gotten so out of hand that I am actually recording appointments in my calendar app and have even started looking at them, at least I have for the past 17 hours or so. It’s true that I spend most of these entries bitching about how hard my life is and then later feeling slightly to marginally guilty about that because I have three wonderful children who get a lot of type about what pains in my asses they are. And my life simply isn’t as hard as say somebody who has three high maintenance kids and does not live under a cushy roof with her mom…but still, I’m wiped. In fact, I don’t think I have been this physically overwhelmed since the year Cassidy was born and I went through a phase of softly crashing our Honda in to other objects, mostly cars and trees, though nothing living. That year the reality of having two kids, working full time and finishing my degree was enough to make me want to curl up behind my eyelids and hide for hours on end. This spring the feeling is much the same, the kids, work, all of it is just a bit much. Right now the bright of it all is that in two weeks school will be over and I won’t have to teach preschool for at least three months. And that is a good thing.

About Caloden

My name is Heather Craven and Caloden is where I park much of my personal baggage. I started the site, with more than a little help, in the fall of 2005. Up until that point I knew little of bloggers and mostly used my computer to play in Photoshop or harvest the random song. But once I started I was hooked. I like to think that by vomiting out all of my personal crap on the Internet that I am a far healthier person than I was nearly 5 years ago.
