In reply to the upcoming weekend tournament I emailed the other moms and asked, “Is there anynody who can give Cassidy a ride to the tournament? 10:40 a.m. is just a bit early to get our clan moving and on the road.” I have yet to attend a full game thisĀ spring and the Other Moms know it. I plan to attend the other three of this weekend’s four games which are 90 miles away, but I know this won’t quite cut it with them. They attend practices and are at each game at least 20 minutes early. What I really want to say to them is, “Listen, bitches, these girls are going to hit 14 in the next two years. They will abandon soccer and break your hearts on a daily basis. Your goals and aspiration will no longer be theirs. You have been laid and know the heartbreak and consequences that brings; they will be thinking of little else. Enjoy what you have this moment and let the little things go. You are all uptight and exceedingly boring, get over it and enjoy the now.” But I haven’t shared my insights with them and likely won’t. Instead I will continue to show up late to games, if at all, and sit by myself while they all huddle together and discuss the future soccer careers of their daughters, and I will stifle a small yawn in the process.

Gee, I wonder why no one immediately offered to bring Cassidy for you?!
I hope your pinched nerves are doing better and that your chiro is really and truly NOT a quack.
