Wheat free for two weeks

As indicated above I have been without wheat for the last two weeks. I would have thought it would be more difficult to give it up, but it really hasn’t been a big deal; not like giving up wine or anything of that magnitude. No, the thing is is that I feel so much better when I don’t consume wheat products that the consequence of eating a gooey PB&J on whole wheat just isn’t worth it. For the first time in such a long time I feel as though my body isn’t battling some invisible force every time after I eat anything at all. And my psoriasis? Gone. Those icky little circles of red, scabby skin along my inner arms and upper thighs have all but faded. Yes, that was a lovely vision, but one I felt needed to be included to give the needed details for my anti-wheat zest. And I swear the poochines of my upper stomach region is less. I like to think my organs are working less to digest my food and are not quite as bulky as a result of their inactivity. Also, I have more energy. Not enough to say be the manager of Cassidy’s soccer team or rid the house of dust, but I do definitely feel better at the end of the days. And really, when it all comes down to it, isn’t it all about me and how I feel? I like to think so.

About Caloden

My name is Heather Craven and Caloden is where I park much of my personal baggage. I started the site, with more than a little help, in the fall of 2005. Up until that point I knew little of bloggers and mostly used my computer to play in Photoshop or harvest the random song. But once I started I was hooked. I like to think that by vomiting out all of my personal crap on the Internet that I am a far healthier person than I was nearly 5 years ago.
