What every preschool teacher is secretly thinking right now
Eight more days ’til summer.
That’s no bummer.
No preschool kids for me
Three months to be sort of free.
I’ll still have my own.
That won’t change ’til their grown.
But to be done teaching,
Devoid of all the screeching,
To quote the Cure, “Sounds like Heaven.”
And after tomorrow the days number seven….

My name is Heather Craven and Caloden is where I park much of my personal baggage. I started the site, with more than a little help, in the fall of 2005.
