The four sides of a triangle

I have been to three Mother’s Day Tea parties this week. No, not a party for each of my off spring because that would be too easy. Two of the parties were hosted by the school where I teach and then today Devon’s preschool had its tea party. Although his was totally low key and his greeting to my mom and me at the school  gate where he asked us, “Please come in, can I pour you some tea?”, was precious beyond words, I am so over any and all tea parties and rock hard biscuits baked by four year-olds. That might sound hard hearted but it’s the truth and I know all the other mothers were hiding their hard biscuits under the tables, too. If they deny this they all lie.

About Caloden

My name is Heather Craven and Caloden is where I park much of my personal baggage. I started the site, with more than a little help, in the fall of 2005. Up until that point I knew little of bloggers and mostly used my computer to play in Photoshop or harvest the random song. But once I started I was hooked. I like to think that by vomiting out all of my personal crap on the Internet that I am a far healthier person than I was nearly 5 years ago.

BTW…I suck as a teacher…we did nothing special for mothers…nice, huh? Oh and going to tea could/would be torturous…glad you had to go to 3 and I had to go to none!

I am just glad it’s done! I wouldn’t worry too much what mother’s really want is a moment of silence not another clumpy clay mug or or twig sculpture.

    Thank, Ann! you too!
