After a weekend of catching up with old college friends I haven’t seen in years I am absolutely beat. It was so great to visit a time and place where my life was so completely different from what it is now. Back then I was carefree and spoiled; I mooned people when the mood struck (because I figured the world appreciated a good look at my ass and it felt good to feel the breeze back there), drank excessively as I felt inclined and sat in far too many laps of boys whose names I never bothered to remember. It was fun for sure, but not a productive path for long term productivity. I’m glad my trajectory has taken me away from all that. What has lasted though is some great memories, many laughs and a few lovely friendships. I am so glad we all got together.

We had a chance to visit our old campus and a few of the places we used to walk on a daily basis, at least on the days when we weren’t hung over. In a clockwise order: Although the school spirit jargon existed way back when, this is a new site at the old student union. I thought it fun and fanciful to look over the stairwell and see this. I have no clue what all the orgasm stuff is about, but this is the sort of display that would have caught my eye at 18 ~much in the same way it caught my eye at 38. There were flowers n Lawrence! Pretty, colorful things that weren’t covered in bitter, cold snow! I wanted to stop and roll in the color and breathe in the warmth before I had to return home to another month of winter. This is a few us in front of that silly bird. I can’t believe we have reached the age where posing in front of a giant bird is not mortifying.
Hi Heather! I can’t wait to read this post!
