Sometimes I remember why we live in the this forsaken winter haven
Winter gets real old after living in it your whole life. It’s all cutesy and fluffy through about January 2. After that it just gets monotonous and annoying until about the end of February when we usually have a thaw before some big March dumps and the onset of mud season in late March and most of April. For a spring snow lover such as me these days are the glory of this damn season of cold and more cold.

Today Devon tried cross country skiing for the first time and he loved it, so much so that he found a snow covered bush and spent nearly an hour doing his own little guy version of extreme jumps. This also marked the first day that my dog, Mouse, has spent mush time outside since about November. Mouse is a daschund mix and lacks fur, thus the silly red sweater. He was so thrilled to be out in the elements, that is until he got cold and whined for me to pick him up to go back to his usual spot next to the fire. All in all a good day.
