O is for Obama. I know, I can’t shut up about him.

Aside from Jack Johnson, Michael Franti is by far one of my most favorite of musicians. I love his voice, his anger and his message. I understand that I am as white as white can be, but I still appreicate what he has to offer. When I found this song a short while ago I was giddy as could be, but in a private way. Because not only am I that lily white girl, but what if, God forbid, he wrote this song and Obama didn’t make the team? Sure, it would have been a fabulous message and amazing footage, but also sad. Thankfully, Obama did make the team and the song is even better now. I especially like the part about four minutes in where the Big O gets all jiggy with it. Can I say that? Me being a white girl and all?
