Shut up. I feel like bitching.

I rarely watch prime time television. For one thing we got rid of the cable about a year ago. For another, most nights are simply to busy with homework and Dr. Zuess to allow for any spare time. But due to a lovely change in our parenting plan I now have Sunday nights to myself when it is Matt’s weekend. So tonight I indulged in a bit of what the antennae could pick up and I saw some Sunday night ABC action. Following are a few of my reactions/observations as to why I generally avoid TV and its commercials:
1. I am not sure if it was a Sunday night thing or s secret Bush administration family values thing, but hello? Every damn commercial featured in tact families and all the joyful moments they share. Gag.
2. Extreme Home Makeover is nothing more than a vehicle for that Tye fellow to bare is mid drift and a for a hormonal gal to cry at just about everything. Another gag.
3. I wonder where those bitches on Desperate Housewives get there facial work done. Those girls are tight. Seriously tight. Everywhere.

I will admit that I like TV “shows” but not just TV. I hate it on if nothing is on that I want to watch. I like the quiet or music but hate the TV in the background. My husband will walk into a room and turn on the TV and then walk into another room and turn that TV on too and then go sit on the computer, not listening to either of them that he just turned on!!! Arrggghhhhh…I just follow him around turning them off! He can’t hear either of them anyway. One morning I heard the TV on so loud that I couldn’t go back to sleep. Go out in the kitchen and the TV is on loud enough for the neighbors to hear and he’s in the shower!!
Okay, no more rants. I agree with you about the shows you mentioned. Home make over my granddaughter just loves but the only time I watch that is she’s over here. The only shows I really like are the CSI type shows and Without a trace. Sitcoms are nothing like they used to be. My son and daughter in law just told me also that their favorite sitcom, they can’t even watch anymore because of the inuendoe’s (sp??).
Kind of sad isn’t it. To bad Sun is your night alone because it’s the most boring night of TV. Figures right???
