My brother is back at the Manor for a bit, or maybe for more because who the hell ever really knows. A few days can often stretch on to weeks or even a couple of months. He actually does get a monthly pay check just for being him so just about anything goes. I have been trying to play it cool so that I don’t slowly/quickly lose my mind during the visit. So tonight when he asked me to sit down and watch the British version of The Office, I said, “Cool. Sure. Why not?” Now here I must insert that unlike my older sibling I am not at all an Anglophile. Our peoples were never English to begin. We were dirty rotten Irish Catholics who openly bred our sin in shanty poverty. I am totally fine with that heritage and like to think I have brought it to this generation with my three kids who bare little resemblance to one another and who were either born completely out of or barely in wedlock. So the whole hoity toity English thing has never really made me tingly. But to humor my brother I sat down and watched a couple of episodes. And it was funny. Here and there. But not in the way the American version is. Yes, I understand this admission brands me as unsophisticated and horribly American. But just because I love the exploits of Michael Scott and Dwight the Freak doesn’t mean I am a Republican. No. I am a single mother with little energy and not much brain left for thought at the end of the day. I don’t want to think too deep or hard for a giggle or two. I need the obvious and enjoy the ease from which it comes. Perhaps that is why I find the following clip so hilarious. I have watched it five times and can’t stop from giggling. Does that make me immature?

I have seen that like four times, and I still think it’s so funny. It’s actually having Matt Damon in the video that elevates it to something special.
I have been so wanting to see that. Thank you.
Very funny. Thank you, I needed a laugh this morning.
