Seriously, he could probably film a rotting piece of fruit and I would fancy him brilliant. This latest bit of snowskating hoo-ha is all the more exciting since Loren won a contest at last week’s X Games and is now sponsored by the Canadian snowskate team Premier. It is a dream his 14 year-old soul launched several years ago and I am tickled pink to see him realize it. He will get free goodies from the company and spread the word of snowskating to every young, impressionable skater boy he can.
Loren knows I haven’t the slightest inclination to understand any of this but if it makes him giddy then, by golly, I’m tingly too. Though that feeling will not be mutual when he finds himself in the backseat of a car with a willing cheerleader. But for the moment I am happy as happy can be with his success.
(The clip where he is at the X Games and in yellow snow pants, yes dayglow is back in and I don’t understand why, is the move the helped him win the coveted spot on the team!)
