Everyone has a price

I work sort of an odd schedule, sort of an opposite-of-summer thing. While a teacher might work the school year and take the summer off, I work the winter and take the remaining seven months off. Yes, I do have my day gig, but the actual going to the office sort of thing is very much a limited thing. Nevertheless, there comes a day when I must face the fire, pay the piper and turn myself in for work. Today was that day. Today I clocked in, as I will for the next four months or so, and sold my soul for free ski passes and a fairly decent health plan.
Needless to say I am bushed by this experience of venturing beyond the front door and into a real sort of world. I say sort of because the clientele do not live in any sort of world I know but they still live somewhere. Now I am going to find Devon, pop him in to his crib and hide until tomorrow when my alarm will ring at 5:45 and I will again have to put on my game face and go out there.
