Tonight Cassidy had her holiday (can’t say Christmas lest we offend one group or another) pageant. It is something a parent should cherish and eagerly anticipate. But me? I dread these fucking things. Not only will I be forced to sit next to the parents of the most Psycho Child Ever, I will have to endure at least an hour of reaaaaallllly bad, off key singing. Cassidy has been practicing her number, Jingle Bell Rock, which happens to be my least favorite of all Christmas songs since Thanksgiving.
True to form, all of the songs, save one, were beyond awful. One thing I will say for Waldorf is that they sure know how to put on a theatrical production. But this Montesorri school? No. Nuh-uh. Their productions are beyond horrid. We were all forced to sit through super bad renditions of Winter Wonderland and the Worst Ever presentation of Silent Night. I thought I might run upstairs and pitch myself over the balcony in sheer agony. But thank the powers that be, Jingle Bell Rock finally came on as the last number. I never thought I would be so grateful to hear that hideous song.
I tried to load the video on to this site, but my blondeness showed through and it still sits on my desktop. Perhaps if my brother is speaking to me tomorrow, yes he is still here, I will grovel and ask him how to perform such techno miracles. Until then I am off to bed with the notes of Jingle Bell Rock reverberating in my skull.

I can help you with the video, but it’s a wee bit complicated and so we’ll have to chat on the phone.
It will involve using my account at… oh crap, where is it?
Yeah, so, like I said, complicated.
They actually sang Silent Night? Expect protests.
Finally have all of mine out of elementary just as the school cancelled the Holiday festivals and all the parties.
Not to be politically correct; they didn’t want to waste the time. Some parents are relieved; some are upset.
I did it again. Can’t seem to remember to preview first.
