Further evidence supporting my stellar mothering skills

All children should be able to achieve a healthy comfort level at pubs; it breeds good, strong character. He didn’t get to sleep until nearly three hours after his bed time and he drank only Sprite and ate only fries, but learning the art of pool can only help him to go better places in life.

I’m a longtime lurker and have been following and empathizing with your ups and downs for months now. Many times I want to comment, but I think that mostly I have trite things to say. This time, I’m not sure what to say, except YAY! There’s something so funny and sweet about this post. Whatever happens, you have your sense of humor and that is invaluable. Not to mention the bar skills– those are invaluable too!

Awww, I was going to comfort you by telling you that my own children were busy playing pool and shuffle board last night at our local watering hole so we could eat pub food and have a brew, but I got blown away by Kate’s lovely comment!
    Yay!

    Kate,
I am so glad you left a comment. Thank you!
Yes, if nothing else it helps to laugh. :)
    Jen,
I would expect nothing else from you as a mother. Although I would be afraid to face Young Tommy in a game of pool.

  4. Jen says:

As well you should be afraid.
Did I tell you what Young Thomas is getting for Christmas?

I wish I had a kid friendly pub! I would so take my son. He’d LOVE it. I’d probably have to drag him away.
