Precious resources

I love to sleep. Not in the super depressed I want to sleep forever sort of way. I love to sleep because from the time I first birthed another living being, sleep has become the most precious of commodities. At this point it is more golden than money and since I no longer have a sex life, it is more glorious than a naked romp.
This morning I slept until 8:30 -the kids are with Matt so he can deal with their needs at 6 a.m. I woke up and just sat in bed and did NOTHING for nearly 20 minutes. There was no springing out of bed to fecth the toddler from his crib. I didn’t have to spilt up a squabble or locate a soccer uniform.
I am already looking forward to going to bed tonight so that I can again sleep in tomorrow. And tomorrow is even better. It is perhaps my most favorite day of the year since it will no longer be Daylights Savings time and I can sleep for one more beautiful hour.
Yes, those are my ture inner feelings. True, I have no life whatsoever. But what the hell. At least for today I am not walking around as a sleep deprived zombie. And that’s not so shabby.

And I am so glad to hear about the sleep. That is worth a ton.
